“Talent is universal, but opportunity is not.”
It’s a phrase we hear often, but for Chief Emmanuel Okeke, it’s the driving force behind a massive philanthropic engine. The mission is simple yet ambitious: to level the playing field.
The Chief Emmanuel Okeke Foundation isn’t interested in just handing out certificates. They are in the business of building the next generation of African tech giants. By partnering with Go Tech Africa, they are taking everyday Nigerians some with zero coding experience and equipping them with the tools to compete on a global stage.
The foundation’s approach is holistic. They know that a student can’t learn if they don’t have the tools, which is why their new initiative includes hardware support alongside free training.
“By investing in human capital and digital infrastructure,” the Foundation states, “we are raising a new generation of African leaders who will shape the future of the continent and the world.”
It’s a bold claim, but when you look at the 5,000 scholarships currently on offer, it’s clear they are putting their money where their mouth is.
